Improving Basketball Dribbling Ability through Ball Handling Exercises

Dribbling is a basic technique that basketball players must have. The low ability of dribbling when playing basketball, so often lose the ball competing problem studied in this study. One form training be given strengthening skills ballhandling training. By providing training, it hoped will able to play well, especially keeping under control because their good skills. This study aims determine effect on sample used students one high school Payakumbuh participating extracurricular activities totaling 10 people. After pre-test was carried out, all samples were treated with exercises. research implementation consisted 16 meetings. results showed had major increasing (thit = 11.21> ttab 2.26). For reason, for further research, researchers should use exercises using smaller balls early childhood fundamentals can more strongly implanted.
